Advanced Instruction Clinic: Archery
CCSFY will be hosting our FIRST EVER ADVANCED INSTRUCTION CLINIC on Saturday, August 19, 2023!
The Clarion County Sportsmen for Youth will be hosting an ADVANCED INSTRUCTION CLINIC IN ARCHERY for 40 kids age 12-18. The clinic is aimed at teaching well rounded archery shooting techniques to youth who are interested in participating in 3D shoots, indoor competition, and hunting with a compound bow. The event will consist of both instruction and hands-on learning. Topics to be covered include: history, safety, shooting fundamentals, and fingers and release methods; bow types; 3D, indoor, and platform scoring; hunting with a bow (vitals and shot placement).
The FREE event will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Sligo Sportsmen's Club in Sligo, PA from 8:00am-1:00 pm. Lunch will be provided. Equipment will be available for any child who does not have their own compound bow.
A chaperone must accompany the child to the event. A parental liability release will need to be downloaded upon successful registration. The release should be printed, completed, and mailed to us prior to the event.

Clarion County Youth Field Day
2024 Youth Field Day will be held Saturday, August 3, 2024
The Clarion County Youth Field Day is the largest in the State, possibly the Nation! Each year we host 450+ children ages 8-12 and they participate in 15+ stations including archery, shotgun, .22, trapping, dog handling, canoeing, fishing, taxidermy, game tasting, turkey calling, duck calling, scouting, and more. Each child receives a shirt, hat, eye and ear protection and lunch. At the end of the day, participants gather to win prizes including youth guns, bows, youth hunts and more! Every single participant receives a prize! Even better, Youth Field Day is provided at NO cost to participants thanks to fundraising and sponsorships.
The event is held the first Saturday in August each year. Registration is online in early June and traditionally fills to capacity in under 15 minutes! It has truly become known as the BEST DAY of SUMMER and has served over 11,000 children over the past 30 years!

The 31st Clarion County Youth Field Day was a huge success! We can’t wait for this year!
The 2024 Youth Field Day will be held, once again, at the Fryburg Sportsmen’s Club Farm. The 32nd Annual Youth Field Day Event will be held Saturday, August 3, 2024.
Youth Field day is a daylong event for kids ages 8-12 years old and was designed to introduce them to activities in the outdoors. Some of the events include trout fishing, boating safety, archery, trapping, wild game tasting, firearm safety, and shooting sports including shotguns, .22 rifles, and muzzleloaders. All events are non-competitive and stress safety and appreciation of the outdoors. Not only do kids participate in 15 hands-on events, but hats, event t-shirts, lunch and door prizes are provided at no cost to the kids or their families.
Clarion County Youth Field Day is the “biggest and best” event of its kind in the state of Pennsylvania. We register over 450 kids each year! To date, we have had the pleasure of introducing almost 10,000 youngsters to the world of hunting, fishing, and shooting sports! To many kids and their families, it has become regarded as the “Best Day of Summer” and has proven to be among the most cherished childhood memories of many.
Our registration process will be via the link provided. Registration opens June 3rd at 5:00pm and has historically filled to capacity in 60 minutes or less. Please be prepared to enter the registration with information including names, addresses, phone, VALID email, date of birth, t-shirt sizes, and if the child shoots right or left handed. Once you receive a successful registration confirmation, you will be provided a release form via pdf that will need to be printed, signed, and physically mailed by USPS in along with a copy of the child’s birth certificate, which must be received by July 1, 2024. Please do not email these documents. Registration is not complete until these documents have been received. You will NOT be notified unless your child’s information is still missing as of July 1.

Youth Field Day Fundraising Banquet

REGISTRATION OPENS JAN 2024!
The Clarion County Sportsmen For Youth’s annual fundraising banquet is held in early March each year and fills 450 seats to capacity. The banquet is the main fundraising event for the Clarion County Youth Field Day and also helps sponsor several other youth outdoor clubs and shooting teams.
In addition to a great dinner, drinks and a collectible thank-you item, the attendees enjoy a Veterans Recognition Ceremony, a fantastic general raffle (prizes including guns and high-quality outdoorsman type items), side raffles including collectible Zippo lighters, hand gun and rifle raffles, 50-50’s, outdoorsman package raffles, stretch raffle and a live auction featuring several high-dollar exclusives! We take pride in the fact that our raffles feature Made in America items!
