2026 Youth Field Day
Youth Field Day will be held August 1, 2026
Registration opens June 1, 2026 at 5:00 PM
IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFO: Our registration process will be via the link provided. Registration opens June 1st at 5:00pm and has historically filled to capacity in 60 minutes or less. Please be prepared to enter the registration with information including names, addresses, phone, VALID email, date of birth, t-shirt sizes, and if the child shoots right or left handed. Once you receive a successful registration confirmation, you will be provided a release form via pdf that will need to be printed, signed, and MAILED in by USPS along with a copy of the child’s birth certificate, which must be received by July 1, 2026. Please DO NOT email these documents. Registration is not complete until these documents have been received. You will NOT be notified unless your child’s information is still missing as of July 1.
The 33rd Clarion County Youth Field Day was a huge success! We can’t wait for this year!
The 2026 Youth Field Day will be held, once again, at the Fryburg Sportsmen’s Club Farm. The 34th Annual Youth Field Day Event will be held Saturday, August, 1, 2026.
Youth Field day is a daylong event for kids ages 8-12 years old and was designed to introduce them to activities in the outdoors. Some of the events include trout fishing, boating safety, archery, trapping, wild game tasting, firearm safety, and shooting sports including shotguns, .22 rifles, and muzzleloaders. All events are non-competitive and stress safety and appreciation of the outdoors. Not only do kids participate in 15 hands-on events, but hats, event t-shirts, lunch and door prizes are provided at no cost to the kids or their families.

Advanced Instruction Clinic: Wild Turkey Hunting

Once again, the Clarion County Sportsmen for Youth will be hosting an Advanced Instruction Clinic in Understanding and Hunting the Wild Turkey sponsored by Shawn Kotchey of Millcreek Valley Game Calls for 30 kids age 12-21. The clinic is aimed at teaching well rounded wild turkey hunting techniques to youth who are interested in patterning, calling, and hunting turkeys. The event will consist of both instruction and hands-on learning. Topics to be covered include: Turkey identification; understanding wild turkey habits; scouting; complete setup (where to place decoys and where to sit); decoys; where, when, why, and how to use a mouth/box/slate call; and dressing and tagging a turkey (including how to prepare for mounting).
The FREE event will be held Saturday March 21, 2026 at Sligo Sportsmen's Club in Sligo, PA from 8:00 am-12:00 pm. Brunch will be provided. Mouth, box, and/or slate calls will be provided for all attendees.
A chaperone must accompany the children under 16 to the event. A parental liability release will need to be downloaded upon successful registration. The release should be printed, completed, and mailed to us prior to the event.
Only 30 registrations will be accepted. Those applicants who are not successful in the first round of registration will be added to the waitlist in case a spot becomes available prior to the event.
Fundraising Banquet

Our annual Fundraising Banquet will again be held at Clarion University/PennWest Eagle Commons Dining Hall.
Doors will open at 4pm, dinner at 6pm.
Individual ticket price $TBD, Table Sponsor $1000 (with added benefits and raffle opportunities)
Registration includes dinner, drinks, and door prize. Raffles featuring MADE IN AMERICA items, 90+guns, sporting goods, etc. Bucket raffle, card games, 50-50s, live auction, hand gun raffles and more!!
